at Gorfion Family Hotel
As a family hotel, it is in the nature of things that a future fit for grandchildren is close to our hearts. Many of our guests' children come to us on holiday with their own offspring, and we want that to be the case in 50 years' time too. The Gorfion is situated in a very privileged, natural environment. Many things are already done very sustainably here - more is always possible, of course. We are orienting ourselves towards the maximum possible at the moment and want to improve step by step, freely following the motto of Martin Luther King: Take the first step with confidence. You don't need to see the whole way. Just take the first step.

- We are partners of the initiative "one for climate".
- Switzerland Tourism and the tourism industry want to become sustainability champions with the "swisstainable" programme. We are part of it!
- Gourmet cuisine with regional ingredients, freshly cooked
- Green electricity from the local electricity supplier and from the wood chip heating plant in Malbun
- E-charging stations in the Gorfion parking lot free of charge for our guests
- Free use of the LieMobil buses for our hotel guests
- Betterspace: the guest intranet offers maximum information and produces no paper waste
- We start with the little ones and offer nature-oriented experiences in the children's club

Ecological
The environment is our most important asset, which is why we always try to run our hotel in the most resource-efficient way possible. The "green mindset" of the hotel management and our employees takes us a big step towards more sustainability.We are also a partner of the "one for climate" initiative. For every overnight stay, one climate franc goes to the "everyone for climate" foundation, which supports international organizations working for climate protection.
