The magic Malbun portal
or passionate puzzle guessers, Malbun comes up trumps with a special highlight - an Outdoor Adventure Room. This is an ingenious puzzle hunt through Liechtenstein's mountain resort of Malbun. The participants are given a puzzle bag and an iPad and off they go on their mission. Now they have to collect enough crystals to close the magic portal and save the world. The puzzles are a mixture of skill, thinking tasks, orientation and augmented reality.
The game length is 90 minutes. The game is suitable for groups and families with children aged nine and older.

For a few hours or a whole day ... If you would like to undertake an animal trekking tour, the llama & alpaca farm in Triesenberg is the right place for you. A trained guide will accompany you on these extraordinary excursions.

Tennis
Just a 10-minute drive from Malbun, tennis fans will find three state-of-the-art rebound ace tennis courts at the Leitawis tennis facility in Triesenberg. These can be played on all year round from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. when the courts are dry. For reservations at a reduced rate, please contact our reception. We provide you with rackets free of charge. You can buy the balls from us.
High-rope climbing park
The "Seilpark im Forst" is located in Triesen. Everyone can find their outdoor experience in the 3 courses with different levels of difficulty. The exercises promote skill and concentration and with a little courage you can master the tricky tasks. As a reward, the ride back on the zipline course beckons.
Archery
The 2.5 km long 3D arrow arch course in the open air is equipped with life-size animal figures and is located right at the entrance to the village of Malbun. For CHF 15 per person.

Mountain biking: E-bikes at the Gorfion
The bike trails in the Liechtenstein mountains are challenging, but also extremely scenic for trained mountain bikers. For example, on the three-country tour which leads to the Pfälzerhütte, the Salaruelijoch, and the Sareiserjoch. Or the Varlorsch tour along three mountain streams. If you would like a bit of help or you can't take your mountain bike along, Hotel Gorfion offers four e-bikes for hire. You can take your children with you in the bicycle trailer.
Prices for Gorfion guests: ½ day for CHF 28 (8:00 am to 1:00 pm or 1:30 to 6:30 pm), 1 day for CHF 45 (7:30 am to 7:00 pm)
Fishing at Lake Gängle
The Steg, or Gängle Lake, reservoir are embedded in a wonderful alpine landscape. The reservoir is full of brown trout which can be fished all year round. The Liechtenstein Fishing Association issues fishing permits.
Mountaineering and trail running
The peaks and steep paths present challenges for alpinists – especially on multi-day tours in the Rätikon Mountains. One of the stages leads from Malbun via the Augstenberg and the Gorfion to the Pfälzerhütte.
Although Liechtenstein is the fourth smallest country in Europe, the country is predestined for trail runners. The mountain area with the starting points Malbun and Steg is particularly popular with trail runners.
Paragliding
Malbun-Sareis is the starting point for fascinating paragliding experiences all year round. The Sareis chairlift offers transport trays for paragliders. The natural launch site is right next to the mountain station.
Mountain scooter
Do you prefer it fast or cozy? Rent a scooter directly from us at the reception and experience a fast or comfortable descent into the valley. Beautiful views are included. Whether as a family or a group, fun and adventure are guaranteed.

Detective trail: Treasure hunt in Malbun
Embark on an exciting treasure hunt in the picturesque mountain village of Malbun and discover the Liechtenstein mountains.
Climbing
There is access to the climbing park with sectors A+B and C+D between the Pfälzerhütte on the Bettlerjoch and the Naafkopf. Most routes have the difficulty level 4 to 6.
You can rent climbing equipment at the Pflälzerhütte. The Fürstin-Gina trail takes you from the Malbun via the Augstenberg to the Pfälzerhütte – and back to Malbun.
Sledding
At the Malbun chapel, a 200 m long sled run offers cool experiences all day long. From 4:00 pm – after the slopes close – you can also sled down the ski slopes, e.g. from the Sareis mountain restaurant to the Turna valley station or from the Täle mountain station down to Malbun. Sleds are available for hire free of charge at the Family Hotel Gorfion (subject to availability).
There is a floodlit toboggan run at weekends and during the vacations in Steg at the Berggasthaus Sücka. For the exact opening times, please contact our reception.
Ice skating
You can walk from the Hotel Gorfion to the ice rink "Schlucher-Treff" in just 5 minutes. You can do your laps on the ice or play a game of curling until 9:00 pm. Ice hockey is on Thursday evenings. Ice skates, curling equipment, and hockey sticks can be borrowed at the Schlucher-Treff.
